- Mechanical Terminal Hand: Manufactured from high-grade aerospace-grade aluminum alloy, the Steeper Mechanical Hand operates using either a voluntary-opening or voluntary-closing mechanism controlled through a pull cable. Pulling the cable activates an internal linkage system that moves the thumb and fingers, enabling a secure and reliable grip on everyday objects.
- Automatic or Manual Elbow Joint: Designed for above-elbow prosthetic users, the prosthesis can be fitted with either a Steeper Automatic Elbow or a Manual Elbow Joint. The elbow features a ratcheting mechanism that allows it to lock into multiple flexion positions or move freely, providing enhanced control, stability, and functional movement.
- Body-Powered Harness and Cable System: A dual-cable harness system is used to operate the prosthesis efficiently. One cable controls the locking and unlocking of the elbow joint, while the second cable operates the opening and closing of the mechanical hand after the elbow has been securely positioned, ensuring smooth and coordinated body-powered operation.
