By accessing this website, scheduling an appointment, or purchasing our clinical services and prosthetic/orthotic components, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Nature of Clinical Services

Information Only

The information provided on this website is intended for general informational purposes only. It should not be considered a substitute for professional clinical evaluation, diagnosis, or medical advice.

Mandatory Clinical Assessment

All custom prosthetic and orthotic devices require an in-person clinical assessment conducted by our certified professionals before measurements, fabrication, or fitting can begin.

2. Accepted Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods for consultation fees, clinical services, and prosthetic or orthotic components:

Digital Payments

  • UPI
  • Credit Cards
  • Debit Cards
  • Net Banking

Offline Payments

  • Cheque
  • Demand Draft (DD)

3. Payment Policy

Advance Payment

A 50% advance payment of the estimated treatment cost is mandatory at the time of taking custom measurements.

Manufacturing and fabrication will commence only after the advance payment has been successfully received and cleared.

Final Payment

The remaining balance must be paid in full before the final delivery of the prosthetic or orthotic device.

Devices will not be handed over until the outstanding balance has been completely settled.

Cheque Dishonour Policy

If any cheque issued by the patient is dishonoured or returned by the bank, an administrative penalty of ₹1,000 will be applied.

The cheque amount, along with the penalty, must be paid immediately through Cash, UPI, or Online Bank Transfer.

4. Sales, Returns & Exchange Policy

Final Sale

All goods sold are considered final and cannot be returned or exchanged under any circumstances.

Custom-Made Medical Devices

Since prosthetic and orthotic devices are custom-manufactured according to each patient’s anatomy and clinical requirements, cancellations or refunds are not permitted once fabrication has commenced.

5. Warranty Policy

Warranty is applicable only for manufacturing defects and varies depending on the component.

Items Not Covered Under Warranty

The following consumable, cosmetic, and soft components are not covered under warranty:

  • Silicone Liners / Interfaces
  • Cosmetic Socks
  • BK (Below-Knee) Finishing Foam
  • Suspension Sleeves

6. Service & Maintenance

Lifetime Structural Service

The Centre provides lifetime free structural adjustment and maintenance services for Below-Knee (BK) and Above-Knee (AK) prosthetic devices at our clinic.

Second Socket Replacement

If a replacement socket is clinically required within one year from the original purchase date, it will be fabricated free of charge.

Socket Replacement After One Year

Any socket modifications or replacements required after one year from the purchase date will be chargeable.

Additional Components

If any additional components, accessories, or upgrades are requested in the future, the applicable component and fitting charges will apply.

7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

All disputes, legal claims, proceedings, or matters arising from clinical services, purchases, or transactions with The New Life Hi-Tech Prosthetic and Orthotic Centre shall be governed by the laws of India.

Exclusive jurisdiction shall lie with the Courts of Madurai District only.

8. Limitation of Liability

Our clinical team is committed to providing the highest standards of prosthetic and orthotic care.

However, successful rehabilitation depends on several patient-specific factors, including:

  • Individual medical condition
  • Physical therapy participation
  • Compliance with rehabilitation protocols
  • Anatomical characteristics

The Centre shall not be held responsible for any device failure, damage, or complications resulting from:

  • Improper use or misuse of the device
  • Unauthorized repairs or alterations
  • Failure to follow prescribed gait training or clinical instructions
  • Negligence in device maintenance
